Spirit Bears in the Kitlope Tenure

The long-term goal of our Coastal Carnivores campaign is to end commercial trophy hunting throughout the Great Bear Rainforest. Although Spirit Bears, like the one pictured, are protected, the black bears that carry the recessive gene that produces the Spirit bear, are not. Buying the rights to commercial trophy helps us protect black bears and ultimately Spirit bears.

Our next tenure is the Kitlope tenure. Once we have raised the $100,000 deposit we will immediately begin fundraising for the remaining $550,000. It’s a big number, and we are going to need your help! Are you in?
