First webinar episode on the Fraser River Estuary!

Come join a webinar about the cultural and ecological importance of the Fraser estuary to the Indigenous Nations of the Lower Fraser River.

You’re invited to the Fraser Estuary!

On Wednesday at 12PM Pacific our new webinar series, Connected Estuary, is launching.

In our first episode we will be joined by Steve Stark, councillor of the executive councillor of the Tsawwassen legislature, and Riley Finn, Raincoast research associate and MSc student at UBC Conservation Decisions Lab who uses maps and spatial information to guide conservation decision making and understand historical ecosystem change.

In this webinar we will explore the cultural and ecological importance of the estuary to the Indigenous Nations of the Lower Fraser River and the extent of landscape change and habitat loss that has occurred in the last 150 years as well as the challenges facing the estuary today.
