The dyke system in Port Coquitlam is near where I live; I spent countless hours wandering the area during my rehabilitation. Home to wild life and gorgeous scenery it became a natural healing place for me. Black bears frequent the area feeding on the local blueberry fields and spawning salmon. The Reflection shot was taken at a point in the recovery process where strength started to return to mind and limb and I could endure the cold wet weather again. As fog freezes on the trees it creates an ephemeral and calming setting evoking a sense of well being.
