British Columbia’s coastal wolves are distinct, special, unlike any other wolf on this planet. Wolves have a strong emotional connection to their pack-mates and it has been shown that when a members of a pack dies, the other wolves mourn. The relationship between wolves and human has often been a tenuous one, with wolves bearing the brunt. These wolves are a critical link in the ecosystem that surrounds them. – Cristina Mittermeier
