Collection: Art for an oil free coast

Over 50 artists, including some of Canada’s most celebrated and many of whom are First Nations – joined Raincoast in an art expedition to the Great Bear Rainforest. Using the language of paintbrushes and carving tools to give a voice to our priceless coast, the artists want to bring international attention to this magnificent region and convey the message that this is no place for oil tankers.

NOTE:  These same art pieces are also shown under the Gallery subsections of “Paintings,” “Sculpture,” and “Prints and Reproductions” respectively.
