“Join us to kick off the holiday season by giving back and helping to protect the wild spaces and species that also call this beautiful province home. The Raincoast Conservation Foundation has a bold initiative to permanently end commercial trophy hunting of all large carnivores in the Great Bear Rainforest. Together with the coastal First Nation partners, Raincoast aims to raise $500,000 to acquire a fourth commercial hunting licence, the Nadee tenure, covering 2,300 square kilometers in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest. With this last licence, Raincoast will be able to protect over 32,000 square kilometers in the Great Bear Rainforest, permanently ending all commercial trophy hunting of coastal carnivores including grizzlies, black bears, wolves, cougars, and wolverines.”

“We are excited to host RCF in-store to share a beautiful video and slideshow to bring awareness to this campaign. Ambassador Brian Falconer will share how safeguarding coastal carnivores also means protecting a wide variety of other species that rely on the fragile balance of the Great Bear Rainforest ecosystem. We will also host a fundraising raffle, with prizes from Arc’teryx, Raincoast, and other local partners.”

“Enjoy seasonal cocktails from RISE kombucha, beer from Stanley Park Brewing, and delicious snacks from Be Fresh.”
