End commercial hunting in the Great Bear Rainforest
We have now raised $345,000 towards the $650,000 needed for us to purchase the Kitlope Tenure.
In 2005 we began our campaign to end commercial hunting of large carnivores in the Great Bear Rainforest because a previous ban on trophy hunting of grizzly bears had been overturned.
Our solution was to purchase the guide outfitter tenures i.e. the rights to commercial hunting. We buy the rights to shoot wildlife – and then we don’t shoot the wildlife.
