Heather played a key role in Raincoast’s early research on coastal wolves. She is widely published in the fields of wildlife health, predator-prey interactions, conservation physiology, disease ecology, and community-engaged research.
This episode explores Heather’s research on BC’s wolves providing insights into how hunting affects stress in wolves, the distinct genetic make-up of coastal wolves, disease transmission and other fascinating aspects of experiences of research on how wolf biology can inform conservation efforts.
