Celebrate World Wildlife Day – Protect Spirit Bears

A spirit bear treat for World Wildlife Day.

In 2012 we acquired a second hunting license in the primary place where Spirit Bears roam. Although killing of Spirit Bears is restricted, killing of black bears (that may carry the recessive gene that gives the Spirit Bear its colour) is allowed.

Along with our First Nations partners we now own commercial trophy hunting rights in a area of over 30,000 square kilometres. We have more to do. See Raincoast.org/go.
