A win for mountain lions in British Columbia, Canada!

On July 1, 2020, the pursuit-only season for mountain lions was banned.

Up until July 1st, 2020, when hunters reached their limit on mountain lions, they were still permitted to let their dogs chase mountain lions. The justification of this cruel practice was that this allowed hunters to train and exercise their dogs. This caused unnecessary stress and kitten loss. BC was the only province in Canada that still allowed a pursuit-only season. No more.
