Help build momentum on pressure to reject Terminal 2 expansion

We are currently working to protect the Fraser estuary from further habitat loss and disturbance from the proposed Terminal 2 expansion.
Last week the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Jonathan Wilkinson sent a letter to the Port of Vancouver’s CEO that stalls the government’s decision on the project.
The minister flagged significant “gaps in information” on the project’s risks to salmon habitat, Southern Resident killer whales, migratory birds, human health and First Nations’ use of the estuary as well as the Port’s plans to minimize those risks.
I’m really encouraged that he is asking very pertinent questions and requesting specific, detailed information about mitigation … and the implications of the project,
Misty MacDuffee, a biologist and Wild Salmon Program Director at Raincoast
Just days after Wilkinson sent this letter, the US Environmental Protection Agency flagged their own concerns about the project’s impacts south of the border.
We’ve made it easy for you to add your voice in support of the Fraser estuary.
