Research season, March to August

We have been finding Chinook in the estuary since late March so it goes to show how important the estuary is to Fraser River Chinook salmon.

And that’s a wrap! Managed to catch one last salmon today, we have been active in the Fraser estuary for six years and this is the latest (by a day) that we have ever caught a Chinook.

Three crew members smile posing with a tiny Chinook fry in a measuring device with the river stretching out behind them.
