Today Canada committed $4.5 billion to buy the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain pipeline. This doesn’t include the costs to built it.

Whoever owns the project still faces legal challenges from First Nations, Raincoast and others, in addition to the opposition of First Nations and other communities throughout BC and further afield.

Salmon (like this Chinook) teach strength and resilience and we will continue to use these qualities along with peer reviewed science and community support to protect wild salmon and the wildlife and the humans and non-humans that rely on them, including endangered Southern Resident Killer Whales.
