A future for Southern Resident Killer Whales – Invitation To Bid
Canada’s southern population of salmon-eating killer whales are endangered. Their salmon stocks are in decline and targeted by fisheries. Their ocean is noisy and polluted. They face extinction under status quo conditions. The good news is that they can begin to recover if these conditions are reversed.
Raincoast Conservation Foundation appreciates the support from the Peninsula Gallery and artist Tim Hall. Their contribution from the silent auction of this painting, plus sales from other of Raincoast’s art displayed at their gallery, will go towards Raincoast’s scientific studies to protect the Southern Resident Killer Whales.
Please feel free to stop in Peninsula Gallery in Sidney to view “Homeward Bound”, the original painting by Tim Hall which portraits the view of Salish sea from Sidney port. Silent auction form can be submitted online or in gallery. Thanks for your participation!
