One of our greatest achievements at Raincoast has been to support the end of trophy hunting of grizzly bears throughout British Columbia.

Acquiring the remaining commercial hunting tenures in the Great Bear Rainforest will extend this protection to all coastal carnivores. To date we have secured the commercial hunting rights in an area of over 50,000 sq.km.

Our next tenure acquisition covers an area of over 5000 sq. km. It includes the spectacular Kitlope Valley, the largest intact coastal temperate rainforest in the world.
